BREEAM Specialist

BREEAM Specialist has a high level of general knowledge of the relevant BREEAM principles, requirements and processes and the skills and experience needed to inform, guide and facilitate project teams throughout the BREEAM process.

He/she seeks solutions that are cost effective, value added and relevant to the asset’s circumstances and end-use. Lastly, they serve as a smooth liaison between the licensed Assessor and the project team to successfully transfer supporting evidence for a timely submission to BRE for a certification decision.

 

Role description:

• Creating CTP CZ BREEAM standards, documentation, templates. Cooperating on BREEAM/ESG long-term strategies while taking in account the most cost-effective and beneficial route to BREEAM compliance.
• Education of internal Project Manager’s teams.
• Cooperation with Project Managers, external Design and close cooperation with external BREEAM Teams (BREEAM Assesors).
  • Helping to set BREEAM strategy for the projects and provide advice on wider sustainability matters within the decision making process.
  • Helping them create and gather evidence, resolving issues etc.
  • Gathering and spreading good-practices and know-how
• During the construction stage additionally:
  • champions sustainability on site – advises the Project team of actions to be taken throughout the construction stage
  • instructs site operatives to adapt their practice in line with the solutions/policies in place to achieve sustainability objectives including BREEAM compliance
• Cooperation: Help with other ESG services as we continue to grow. Regular cooperation with other CZ and Group ESG Managers.
• Mapping trends: Identify current trends in the field of ESG.

 

Who we are looking for:

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of BREEAM Process (ideally BREEAM AP qualification)

 

Experience Necessary:

• Has a holistic understanding and grasp of the issues that influence and impact project/asset/team performance, in pursuit of the target rating.
• Technical knowledge: Building design and utility networks.
• ESG knowledge: basic understanding of the current EU legislative landscape, technology and other market trends.
• Project management: Prior experience with managing other team members, subcontractors and stakeholders is a must.

 

Advantage:

• Research capabilities: Prior experience with research and analysis, a more complex understanding of the business environment, especially in the real estate sector is an advantage.

Skills:

• Self-reliance: Able to work individually on given tasks within various workgroups. Able to prioritize tasks, according to set deadlines and changing business needs.
• Team player: You like to communicate with the team and have working proficiency in both Czech and English.
• Appetite for continuous learning: both in the green building space and in wider ESG topics.
