CTPark in Nitra to expand its capacity for automotive components supplier
According to the agreement, CTP will build new production halls in CTPark Nitra by June next year for Samvardhana Motherson Reydel Companies (SMRC), a designer and leading supplier of automotive components already on site.
SMRC Automotive Slovakia is a major supplier of plastic components and modules for automotive interiors for several automotive companies. For example, the center consoles are manufactured for PSA and Opel, dashboards for VW Crafter and Caddy, functional interior elements for Renault. SMRC also supplies door paneling for the BMW premium segment. It also designs and supplies decorative parts for other companies.
Currently, SMRC’s Nitra plant covers an area of 15,000 m², but from June next year, the manufacturer will have additional newly built premises at its disposal. There will be an additional 13,000 m² of warehouse space and 600 m² of office and sanitary facilities on the premises. This construction will simultaneously expand the portfolio of the property owner and industrial park, which is CTP.
CTP is a market leader in premium logistics and industrial parks in Slovakia. After the acquisition of the industrial park at Košice Airport, CTP’s portfolio currently comprises 29 buildings and a total area of up to 421,000 m². By the planned construction in Nitra, CTP confirms not only its interest in retaining the leadership, but also further progress, organic growth and keeping the high occupancy of his portfolio above 95 percent.
“I am sincerely pleased that the common interest in the growth of both companies has resulted in the conclusion of an agreement on the expansion of the premises in Nitra’s park, where SMRC has its production concentrated. We will build new tailor-made premises not only according to the client’s requirements, but also to meet the strict energy performance certification criteria that we follow at CTP,” says Remon Vos, CEO of CTP.
CTPark Nitra is located north of the city near the car company Jaguar Land Rover. The city and its surroundings provide suitable conditions for car manufacturers and their components. Thanks to the strategic location of the park just off the highway, this environment is also ideal for logistics and distribution activities.
