CTP at EXPO 2025 in Osaka strengthens business relations and opens the door to new Asian investors

EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan, brings new opportunities for Czech business. CTP—Europe’s largest listed developer, owner, and manager of industrial and logistics properties by gross leasable area (“GLA”)—is using this prestigious world exhibition to establish international contacts, strengthen business relations with partners in Asia, and present the Czech Republic as an attractive European destination for investors. As the national partner of the Czech participation, CTP will be actively present at professional forums throughout the exhibition, collaborating with Czech regions and hosting foreign delegations at the Czech Pavilion at the CTP Lounge. The ambition is to attract new investors and promote the perception of the Czech Republic as a gateway to the European market.

EXPO 2025 in Osaka opens to the public on 13 April and expects over 8 million visitors from 160 countries over the course of six months. This year’s event is being held under the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” and emphasises cooperation, technological progress, and sustainability. For CTP, these topics are an integral part of the company’s strategy and everyday practice—whether by revitalising brownfield sites, building in line with ESG principles, or supporting regional development. CTP sees its involvement in the exhibition as an opportunity to present the Czech Republic as a strong player on the European business map, offering stability, security, a skilled workforce, developed infrastructure, and favourable conditions for business development.

Jakub Kodr, Managing Director of CTP for the Czech Republic, explained:

“EXPO 2025 offers a chance to show the world that the Czech Republic is ready to become a key partner for companies looking to enter the European market. We present our country as a modern, technologically advanced, and strategically located destination where companies from Asia can find reliable facilities for production, development, and distribution. At CTP, we are able to offer them everything from their first start-up space to state-of-the-art, sustainable, turn-key manufacturing facilities. This flexible approach also makes us the largest industrial and logistics real estate specialist in Europe. Trust, stability, and partnership are what investors are looking for today—and that is exactly what the Czech Republic offers.”

During the first days (April 14–15) of the exhibition, CTP will present its own expert programme called Developing tomorrow by CTP, which will offer a wide range of activities, from panel discussions to case studies and cultural events that will place the Czech vision of the future within the global context. Topics will focus on sustainability, technological innovation, and challenges facing industry and development. EXPO will also be an opportunity to highlight CTP’s long-standing cooperation with Czech regions, which will present their own projects and initiatives as part of the two-day programme. CTP plans to participate in various other events throughout the exhibition.

Ondřej Soška, Commissioner General of the Czech participation at EXPO 2025, emphasised:

“EXPO is the Olympics of non-sporting industries—and that is why it is crucial for us to be part of it. We want the Czech Pavilion to be a lively platform for international dialogue, innovation, and connecting the public and private sectors. We see the partnership with CTP as a great example of how Czech business can actively help build a positive image of the Czech Republic abroad. We are convinced that it is the combination of technological advancement, sustainability, and courage to take a new path that will resonate in Osaka.”

One of the key elements of the Czech participation at EXPO 2025 will be the CTP Lounge—a representative space on the roof of the Czech Pavilion that bears the name of the developer as an expression of national partnership. It will offer facilities for business meetings, presentations, and informal networking with one of the most impressive views of the entire EXPO grounds. CTP will host a number of its own events and meetings at CTP Lounge with delegations from existing and new markets. The aim is to create a lively space for exchanging ideas, sharing experience, and establishing long-term international partnerships.
