CTP strengthens construction division in Romania with appointment of Ionuț Puiu as Construction Director
Bucharest, Romania – June 3rd, 2024 – CTP, Europe’s largest listed developer, owner, and manager of industrial and logistics properties by gross lettable area (GLA), strengthened its Romanian management team with the appointment of Ionuț Puiu as Construction Director starting in May. With this strategic addition, CTP reaffirms its commitment to expanding its portfolio in Romania, poised to surpass the significant 3 million sqm milestone this year.
After a three-year hiatus pursuing a new challenge, Ionuț Puiu returns to CTP with a wealth of experience and expertise, now taking on the role of Construction Director. With a career spanning over a decade, Ionuț has honed his skills in managing and coordinating construction operations across various sectors, from retail to industrial development. His return to CTP signifies a continuation of his dedication to excellence in the construction industry, where he is part of a full-service real estate partner with in-house teams covering each stage of the client relationship: from site selection to design and construction to fit out and long-term property management.
With a portfolio already covering 2.9 million sqm of Class-A sustainable modern warehouses, CTP Romania is poised for growth, boasting a landbank of over 3.5 million sqm in various cities. The company has over 200,000 sqm of industrial and logistics space that is currently under developmentin Arad, Bucharest, Brasov, and Sibiu, with plans for additional development throughout 2024. This highlights Romania’s significant potential in the industrial & logistics sector.
As the long-term owner and operator of its properties, CTP has always taken a “big picture” and sustainable approach to development to ensure long-term value to all stakeholders. CTP’s energy business is taking off, bringing the total photovoltaic capacity to 100 MWp at photovoltaic capacity at group level, of which 28 MWp are installed in Romania. All new buildings are built “solar ready” for the installation of rooftop PV panels. The expansion into renewable energy is an integral part of CTP’s Parkmaker concept and contributes to the company’s income and ESG objectives, while also providing energy security to its clients and supporting their ESG goals in the process.
CTP currently owns a portfolio of over 2.9 million sqm across Romania, which span from Bucharest to Timisoara, Oradea, Cluj, and Brasov, being able to accommodate manufacturing facilities, logistics and other key industries such as retail and automotive.
