CTPark Amsterdam City Opens The Door For Long-term City Logistics
Amsterdam, 18 December 2024 – CTP, Europe’s largest listed developer, owner and manager of industrial and logistics properties by gross lettable area (GLA), officially welcomed Heineken as a new tenant to CTPark Amsterdam City on 17th December. This ultra-modern, multi-layered city hub makes it possible for Heineken to deliver products emission-free – from beers to groceries – to companies and catering establishments in Amsterdam. The arrival of Heineken at CTPark Amsterdam is an important step in the transition to a cleaner and more accessible city.
Strategically located in the Port of Amsterdam, the fourth busiest cargo port in Europe, and close the city centre, CTPark Amsterdam City holds a pivotal location in one of the most densely populated areas in Europe. It provides direct access to the city centre (fifteen minutes by water) and the ring Motorway A10 (five minutes) and is destined to set a new benchmark in terms of sustainability.
CTPark Amsterdam City combines ultra-modern innovation with smart city distribution. The hub, with a capacity of more than 120,000 sqm of highly flexible floor space, provides space to companies preparing for an emission-free future. This not only ensures lower emissions in the city, but also less pressure on the roads and cleaner air. With Amsterdam’s Zero Emission Zone of 2025 fast-approaching, the hub offers companies a future-proof solution.
Hester van Buuren, alderman of the Municipality of Amsterdam, officially welcomed Heineken to CTPark Amsterdam, emphasising the importance of developments like CTPark Amsterdam in contributing to a more sustainable city. She said: “We are proud that an important partner like Heineken is taking this step. It shows how collaboration and innovation are essential for an emission-free city centre.”
Heiko Koop, Director of CTP Netherlands, said:
“It is fantastic to welcome an iconic company like Heineken to the hub. CTPark Amsterdam City was developed with one goal: to make optimal use of the city’s logistics space and at the same time contribute to a more sustainable future. What is happening here shows that sustainability is not only necessary, but also feasible and profitable. With the interest of other parties, we see a bright future in which this hub will be an example for other cities.”
