CTP develops new building for Autoneum in its Komárom industrial-logistics park
Under the long-term contract signed at the end of 2023, Autoneum will take possession of a newly-developed hall of more than 5,000 square metres in the second half of 2024 in the CTPark Komárom industrial and logistics park, in addition to the almost 13,000 square metres of space it already uses. As a sign of the excellent cooperation between the two companies, Autoneum has been present in the logistics park since 2018, where it benefits from CTP’s high-quality management and operation services, allowing it to fully focus on its core business.
As a partner to global automotive companies, Autoneum is a leading manufacturer of sound and thermal insulation for vehicles, performing both manufacturing and logistics operations in Komárom. The success of the excellent cooperation between CTP and Autoneum lies in the fact that the needs of the company, which has been present in the logistics park since 2018, are fully met by CTP’s flexible services, while having the latest technological solutions at its disposal.
CTPark Komárom’s KMR1 building is CTP’s first build-to-suit (BTS) industrial hall in Hungary and now, as part of the expansion, the investor is developing a new building section for Autoneum, which the tenant will be able to occupy at the end of 2024. Aiming for a BREEAM Outstanding green rating, the building will be built using the latest technologies and solutions with a focus on sustainability, including solar panels for energy and, of course, the heat pump systems that have been standard for years.
An important factor in the development of the new building was that CTP, as the owner of the logistics park, offers excellent management and operation services, allowing Autoneum to focus on its core business with maximum and full efficiency. Moreover, sustainable solutions – the use of renewable energy – fully serve the tenant’s decarbonisation and cost optimisation goals.
Another important factor in the agreement was that CTPark Komárom, located on the Hungarian-Slovakian border near Komárom, has excellent road access to the M1 motorway and towards major European cities, making it an ideal site for both manufacturing and warehousing. The property is only 40 km from Audi Győr, 85 km from Budapest, 80 km from Bratislava and 150 km from Vienna.
