World Expo Osaka: Reflections
Not every milestone in CTP’s journey comes with cranes and concrete. Some are defined by ideas, partnerships, and global visibility. One of the proudest moments in our 25-year history has been stepping onto the world stage as the National Partner of the Czech Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan.
The journey began with in May, when we hosted an opening event at the rooftop CTP Lounge at the Czech Pavilion. From there, the months unfolded into a series of inspiring occasions that connected the Czech Republic with Japan and the wider world. Our Business Development team had the privilege of presenting three regions close to our hearts—Plzeň, Ostrava, and Brno—not just as points on the map, but as vibrant hubs where industry, talent, and innovation meet.
“Japan inspires us with its precision, innovation, and respect for nature. We want to transfer these values to our projects.”
— Jakub Kodr, Managing Director, CTP Czech
Together with CzechInvest, we participated in investment seminars, future-shaping discussions on autonomous mobility, innovation, and sustainability, and proudly celebrated Czech National Day with Czech President Petr Pavel. Each event was an opportunity to share the CTP story—one of long-term vision, partnership, and creating spaces where businesses and communities can thrive.
More than 100 Czech companies and 200 artists took part in the world exhibition, with private-sector support exceeding CZK 100 million. Since the opening of the Czech Pavilion in April, CTP and its partners have been actively involved in a wide range of activities—from the opening ceremony and investment seminars to regional presentations of Brno, Plzeň, and Ostrava.
As the National Partner of Czech participation at Expo 2025, CTP contributed to the Bridge of Nations project, which virtually connected the Czech Pavilion in Osaka with locations across the Czech Republic, including several CTP developments. The CTP Lounge also served as a welcoming space for informal meetings and cross-cultural exchange throughout the exhibition.
The world exhibition highlighted the growing interest of Asian companies in CEE and opened new opportunities for the Czech market. Asian firms are increasingly relocating their manufacturing and R&D operations to the region, attracted by its skilled workforce and proximity to Western Europe. This shift is reflected in CTP’s portfolio: while Asian clients accounted for around 7% of new leases in 2018, they now represent approximately 20%.
During Expo 2025, CTP strengthened relationships with technology and manufacturing companies considering entry into the CTPark Network in Czechia—further proof that our mission to connect regions, foster innovation, and create opportunities continues to resonate globally.
