We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual to join us as Head of HR for Germany and Austria. This role will report directly to the Country Head/CEO and Management Board and serves as a strategic business partner for key areas of the business, including Construction, Property Management, Finance, and Business Development.
Additionally, there is a functional reporting line to the Group HR Director as part of CTP’s efforts to build a unified HR community across its international operations. As such, the HoHR will play an active role in cross-country projects focused on systems, processes, and continuous operational improvements.
The position is based in the Wuppertal/Düsseldorf, with frequent travel across Germany and Austria.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an HR leader with strong experience in organizational development and transformation who embraces modern HR approaches and is technically inclined. Our ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the digitalization of HR processes and the ability to implement innovative solutions across our business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a business partner for key departments such as Construction, Property Management, Finance, and Business Development
- Driving a modern, performance-oriented culture and supporting organizational transformation
- Spearheading digital HR initiatives to improve operational efficiency and optimize employee experience
- Serving as a key point of contact for management and employees across Germany and Austria
- Leading the recruitment process, including agency selection, job descriptions, interviews, contracts, and onboarding
- Designing and implementing effective HR strategies and initiatives that align with company goals
- Developing, maintaining, and implementing HR policies, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations in Germany and Austria
- Leading the HR team, including overseeing payroll administration and HR operations
- Close collaboration with other departments, including Marketing, to enhance Employer Branding and the company’s external representation
Requirements
- Proven experience in organizational development and transformation
- Strong technical affinity and experience in implementing digital HR processes
- Fluency in German and English (both written and spoken)
- A background in managing HR for international organizations with a focus on cross-border processes and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with people at all levels
- Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for modern HR practices
- Ability to drive change and implement strategic HR initiatives
