Zoomlion Steps Up Its European Manufacturing Game at CTPark Tatabánya
Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co., Ltd., a global leader in construction and agricultural machinery with its HQ in China, significantly expanded its European footprint through a strategic partnership with CTP in Hungary. Marking the company’s first manufacturing hub in the country, the facility at CTPark Tatabánya is a cornerstone of Zoomlion’s strategy to regionalise supply chains and move R&D and service capabilities closer to its primary end markets. In Q3-2026, the company reported that 60% of its total revenue was generated from overseas markets.
The collaboration, which kicked off in February 2025, represents major industrial real estate transactions in Hungary’s logistics and manufacturing sector. Zoomlion committed to a 10-year lease and an investment of €110 million into the site, signalling a long-term dedication to the region. In just one year, CTP delivered a comprehensive 55,000 sqm facility tailored to Zoomlion’s complex operational needs. The site consists of:
⦁ A 35,000 sqm customised shell: An existing building that CTP rapidly adapted to meet specific manufacturing requirements.
⦁ A 20,000 sqm specialised testing facility: A custom, ground-up construction built on adjacent land.
⦁ Extensive outdoor storage: Dedicated space for large-scale machinery and logistics.
Designed to produce high-quality scissor and boom lifts, the facility is more than just a production plant. With expectations of creating over 800 jobs, the site features integrated employee amenities, including office space, canteens, changing rooms, and an on-site medical point.
The strategic location of CTPark Tatabánya was a key factor in Zoomlion’s decision. Situated near the M1 motorway and within easy reach of Budapest, Vienna, and Bratislava, the site provides excellent connectivity to major European markets. This accessibility enables faster deliveries, efficient servicing of partners, and reliable distribution across both Western and Eastern Europe. In addition, the park’s position inside the rapidly developing Tatabánya–Komárom industrial region makes it a highly attractive base for global manufacturers.
