CTP helped connect Czech and Asian business opportunities at EXPO 2025 in Osaka which attracted 29 million visitors
EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan has ended after six months. The exhibition became the largest presentation of Czech business and industry in Japan in the last 50 years. The Czech Pavilion took home a gold medal in the People’s Choice category for the most popular pavilion according to visitors from around the world and two silver awards—for architecture and the popular mascot, René. With over 1.5 million visitors, the Czech Pavilion ranked among the most visited European exhibitions. As the national partner of the Czech participation at EXPO 2025, CTP played a significant role in the exhibition program and helped present Czechia as a modern and confident country combining innovation, technology, and sustainability. The partnership also opened new opportunities for cooperation with Asian investors, whose importance for European industry and the developer’s portfolio continues to grow.

More than 100 Czech companies and over 200 artists participated in the world exhibition, with private-sector support exceeding CZK 100 million. Since the opening of the Czech Pavilion in April, dozens of representatives of CTP and its partners were actively involved in a wide range of activities—from the opening ceremony, Czech National Day, and an investment seminar led by the CzechInvest to a conference on autonomous mobility under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce of the Region of Karlovy Vary and regional presentations of Brno, Plzeň and Ostrava. CTP’s main goal was to present a long-term vision based on creating an environment where companies, communities, and regions can grow together. As the national partner of the Czech participation at EXPO 2025, CTP also participated in the implementation of the Bridge of Nations project, which virtually connected the Czech Pavilion in Osaka with locations across the Czech Republic, including at CTP developments. The partnership also included the rooftop CTP Lounge at the Czech Pavilion, which served as a space for informal meetings throughout the exhibition.
The world exhibition confirmed the growing interest of Asian companies in Central and Eastern Europe (“CEE”) and opened new opportunities for the Czech market. Asian firms are increasingly relocating their manufacturing and R&D operations to the CEE region, which offers a skilled workforce and close access to Western European markets. This trend is also reflected in CTP’s portfolio: while Asian clients accounted for approximately 7% of all new leases in 2018, they now represent around 20%. During EXPO, the developer managed to establish new relationships with technology and manufacturing companies that are considering entering the CTPark Network in Czechia and utilising the local innovation capacities.
