Full speed from the glacier to the valley. The CTP Racing Team conquered the extreme Megavalanche 2025!
The legendary Megavalanche race in Alpe d’Huez, France, celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, and we couldn’t miss it. Our colleague Michal Přib lined up at the start in the E-bikes Masters category as a member of the CTP Racing Team and, after a thrilling 20 kilometers full of snow, rocks, and technical alpine trails, finished in an excellent 11th place out of almost a hundred competitors in his category.

The track led from the summit of Pic Blanc at an altitude of 3,300 meters down to the valley in Allemont. During the descent, the competitors overcame an elevation gain of over 2,600 meters and had to contend with the pitfalls of a mass start on a frozen glacier, speeds of over 70 km/h, and demanding technical terrain. It was a ride that tested not only physical fitness but also mental resilience. Michal’s strategy paid off – thanks to a well-managed qualification, he managed to stay in the leading group, which allowed him to avoid collisions during the initial descent.

Michal’s entire team took part in the race on e-bikes, which coped with the extreme conditions of the Alpine track without any problems. The energy to power them came from solar panels on the roofs of CTP buildings, underlining our commitment to sustainability – even where adrenaline and performance are the order of the day.

The race weekend was a celebration of the 30-year history of Megavalanche, which this year attracted 1,372 competitors from around the world. We are delighted that our employees have such diverse interests and hobbies, and we are even more delighted when we can support them in these pursuits.

Whether we’re building parks or hurtling down a glacier, CTP is going full speed ahead!
