The main task is to ensure that CTP delivers multiple residential and commercial development projects within the Czech Republic on time, on budget and to good quality.
CTP´s core business is to develop CTPark network – light industrial and logistics projects, however Head of Urban Projects is responsible for CTP’s development and construction in commercial and residential area (office and mix-use buildings, hotels, housing for students and young professionals, and science and technology parks).
This role is based in BRNO, CZ, start is possible immediately.
A Head of Urban Projects is responsible for all phases of the developments, costs controlling and related reporting as listed below:
- Manage due diligence for new locations, including technical reports on land suitability and contamination for CTP’s projects.
- Ensure proper design for residential and commercial developments in the Czech Republic, in line with CTP’s White Book, updating it as needed.
- Collaborate with in-house and external design teams to ensure project documentation aligns with CTP’s standards and client needs. Prepare tender documentation.
- Ensure timely acquisition of necessary permits (zoning, planning, building, use permits) with regional construction teams, and personally support key projects when required.
- Oversee budget preparation and approval, ensuring alignment with CTP leadership.
- Manage procurement, including tendering, bid reviews, negotiations, and subcontractor selection.
- Maintain good relationships with external suppliers and designers.
- Work with the ESG team to ensure compliance with ESG standards in all CTP projects.
- Collaborate with the Head of Energy on energy generation and trading within business parks.
- Drive value engineering, innovation, and process improvements to maximize construction team performance.
- Continuously seek improvements in processes, design, and technology with other Construction Directors.
- Manage construction costs, ensuring project financial performance.
- Lead the development of new commercial and residential projects, supporting negotiations with stakeholders.
- Build long-term relationships with business partners, clients, and suppliers.
- Oversee residential operations, including IT and software development, and create concepts for new residential projects.
- Actively seek opportunities to reduce costs.
We expect you to bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in construction or real estate development, with a focus on both residential and commercial projects.
- Proven leadership experience in managing large teams, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- In-depth knowledge of building regulations és permit acquisition processes.
- Experience working in a multinational environment or with international teams.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, including design, budgeting, procurement, and permitting.
- ESG standards knowledge and experience in incorporating ESG into projects.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) for communication with international teams.
- Proficiency in Cseh vagy local language for communication with local teams, authorities, and clients would be highly beneficial.
- Willingness to travel for site visits, meetings with clients, and coordination with regional teams.
