Kedrion is the world’s fifth-largest player in the plasma-derived sector, operating a vast global network. This infrastructure includes 68 KEDPLASMA collection centres in the US, 8 UNICAplasma centres in the Czech Republic, and seven production facilities across five countries. Backed by a global team of 5,200 people, Kedrion distributes 38 life-saving products to over 100 countries. In Hungary, their subsidiary Human BioPlazma Ltd. carries forward the legacy of HUMAN, a pioneer in vaccine and sera development since 1924.
To support their vital mission, CTP partnered with Kedrion to expand their operations in Üllő, just outside Budapest. Following an initial expansion in 2019, CTP delivered a brand-new, built-to-suit (BTS) facility in 2022 featuring specialised, sterile environments.
This fully validated, state-of-the-art pharmaceutical storage facility includes a sterile chilled warehouse maintained at 2–8°C, a sterile frozen storage chamber operating at -27°C, and qualified on-site CTP facility management prepared for OGYÉI and supplier audits. Located within an established business community just 12 km from Budapest International Airport, the site also offers dedicated on-site public transport for employees.
