Seeding Growth: CTP Support Brno Innovation
In business, no company is an island. Growth requires an ecosystem of capital, infrastructure, and collaboration.
Since our start, our involvement in the growth of the regions where we develop our parks has been a natural extension of our business. Our participation in the €16.3 million, Brno-based JIC Ventures fund is a prime example of our collaborative approach.
Spearheaded by JIC (the South Moravian Innovation Centre), the new fund is designed to help kick-off pre-seed and seed-stage technology start-ups from the Czech Republic and Central Europe. CTP is proud to be the largest investor in the fund, alongside Česká spořitelna and dozens of other private corporate and individual investors.
Jakub Kodr, CTP’s Managing Director in the Czech Republic, comments on CTP’s holistic approach: “Besides capital, technology companies need space to grow, from R&D to prototyping and scaling. CTP injects infrastructure, knowledge, facilities, and services into the South Moravian ecosystem, which eases expansion and accelerates decision-making. We want to partner with innovative companies from the beginning.”
Our role in the region
CTP has played an active role in and around Brno since 2005. We’ve developed and own and operate a wide range of spaces in the city and its surrounding region, with currently six CTPark locations and three office and mixed-use city-centre campuses that together offer a wide range of property types and solutions. These include CTP’s bespoke Clubco co-working space and Domeq residential buildings, which will soon offer 1,000 rental units in Brno. Our diverse client roster in the area includes leading global brands like DHL, Hitachi Energy, and ABB, along with rapidly growing Czech brands like Rohlik and Vilgain.
Like many regions in CEE, the Brno area has experienced significant growth and development and is today a competitive European hub for innovation and start-ups, having been among the top 50 startup hubs in Europe by the Financial Times in 2026. This growth is no coincidence but is the ongoing result of strategic vision and partnerships over many years.
CTP’s investment in the JIC Ventures fund is the latest example of our broad-based commitment to Brno. We’ve been part the city and surrounding region’s growth story for more than two decades. This has involved support for various social initiatives—ranging from non-profit organisations and charities to universities and recruitment agencies—in addition to our dynamic portfolio of development projects, which include:
- CTPark Brno Líšeň – revitalisation of the former Zetor factory brownfield site into a top-grade inner-city logistics hub;
- Ponávka – a former brownfield that is now a mixed-used park, featuring CTP’s unique Domeq residential apartments for students and young professionals, offices, light industrial facilities, and green spaces;
- Vlněna – a former brownfield, now a premium office campus featuring onsite amenities, recreational spaces, natural landscaping, and the restored Brochner Palace.
Scaling with clients
At CTP, we don’t just build buildings. We aim to be a flexible partner providing clients with full-service real estate solutions that support their investment strategies today and in the future.
With our integrated, proactive approach, we are a reliable long-term partner to our clients, helping them to maximise their investment strategies and stay focused on their core business. We grow when our clients grow—with around two-thirds of new business each year coming from existing clients.
How CTP can support your market entry or business expansion in Europe:
- Early Stages: Co-working spaces like Clubco for lean, agile teams
- Prototyping: Flexible R&D facilities for testing and development
- Scaling: Large-scale industrial and logistics hubs for global distribution
While it may start with an industrial park, at CTP we’ve got our eye on the future, and we’re ready for a lot more. Let’s build something great together.
